め (me) – Hiragana
– Pronounced as the Japanese ‘me’. Sounds similar to the English ‘me’ as in ‘mess’.
め, in hiragana, or メ in katakana, is one of the Japanese kana, each of which represents one mora. Both versions are written in two strokes.
Mnemonic 1: ‘Mess’ – Remember ‘noodle’ from the Hiragana Mnemonic for ‘nu’. This noodle has become smaller as you can see, as the tiny bit at the end has dropped on the floor, making a horrible ‘mess’.
Mnemonic 2: This fish has been skewered with a stake, making a horrible ‘mess’.
