こ (ko) – Hiragana
– Pronounced as the Japanese ‘ko’. Sounds closest to the English ‘co’ as in ‘core’.
こ, in hiragana, or コ in katakana, is one of the Japanese kana, each of which represents one mora. The shape of these kana comes from the kanji 己.
Mnemonic 1: The character is a can of coke. Think of the top line as being the top of the can, and the bottom line as the bottom of the can.
Mnemonic 2: Think of ‘copy’ – The second line is a copy of the first line. They are not identical however; the lower one has been smudged.
